Expanded Playoff Coverage to Include Exclusive Pregame and Postgame Shows For Every Rangers Opening Round Telecast
New York, NY (April 30, 2022) – With the New York Rangers set to drop the puck and begin its Stanley Cup playoff run, MSG Networks today announced its official telecast schedule for the team’s first round matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins, starting with Game 1 at home at 7:00pm on Tuesday, May 3rd. MSG Networks will air every playoff game during the team’s opening round series, serving as the go-to home for Rangers playoffs coverage.
Play-by-play announcer and Hockey Hall of Famer Sam Rosen will be on the call with analyst Joe Micheletti for each game throughout the series. Reporter Michelle Gingras will provide in-game analysis and conduct player interviews throughout the pregame, postgame and each intermission.
The network will also have a half-hour pregame show and an expanded one-hour postgame show for every opening round telecast. Hosted by John Giannone, the studio coverage will feature legendary Rangers goalie and franchise icon Henrik Lundqvist, alongside his former teammate and New York Emmy Award-winning analyst Steve Valiquette.
