MSG NETWORKS ANNOUNCES TELECAST SCHEDULE FOR NEW YORK ISLANDERS’ FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF SERIES AGAINST THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
Games 2, 3, and If Necessary 5, 6 and 7, Will Air on MSG Network
and MSG+; Series to Begin with Game 1 on Sunday, May 12th
Exclusive Pre- and Post-Game Shows to Air During Each MSG Networks’
Islanders Playoff Telecast and Post-Game Coverage After All Games
New York, NY (May 14, 2021) – With the Islanders’ Stanley Cup playoff run set to get underway, MSG Networks today announced its telecast schedule for the team’s first round matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The opening round series will begin with Game 1 on Sunday, May 12th. Games 2, 3, and if necessary 5, 6 and 7, will air on both MSG Network and MSG+.
MSG Networks will also have exclusive pre- and post-game coverage for each game it airs throughout the series, as well as a post-game show following Games 1 and 4. Shannon Hogan will host the studio and intermission coverage, alongside analyst AJ Mleczko. Play-by-play announcer Brendan Burke and analyst and four-time Stanley Cup Champion Butch Goring will be on the call for each game the network airs.
MSG Networks’ complete schedule for the Islanders’ first round series can be seen below. All Islanders postseason coverage airing on MSG Networks will also be available on MSG GO, the network’s live streaming and video on demand platform for smartphones, tablets and computers.
