New York, NY (April 10, 2017) – Rangers fans will be super-served NHL Playoff content as the team embarks on its playoff journey. MSG Networks (NYSE: MSGN) will offer a full lineup of playoff programming kicking off Tuesday, April 11 with the Jeep “Rangers Quest for the Cup” followed by a special playoff edition of the Geico “MSG Hockey Show.” All games in the series will be telecast on MSG Networks, with the possible exception of a potential Game Six.
First round coverage of the Rangers/Canadiens tilt begins Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. with the Maserati “Rangers Game Night” pregame show. The Game One puck drops on MSG at 7:00 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the one-hour Mercedes-Benz “Postgame Show.” A full game schedule is below.
All first round games airing on MSG Networks, as well as pre-game and post-game coverage, will be available on “MSG GO,” MSG Networks’ live streaming and video on demand platform.
MSG will have one-hour postgame shows after every Rangers game in the playoffs, including after national broadcast games.
MSG Networks Rangers playoff coverage will feature the fan-favorite tandem of Hall-of-Fame play-by-play announcer Sam Rosen and analyst Joe Micheletti. John Giannone serves as MSG’s in-arena reporter, and the MSG Studio crew in New York features former Rangers Ron Duguay and Steve Valiquette, as well as Al Trautwig and Bill Pidto.
MSG Networks kicks-off its playoff programming tomorrow night (Tuesday) with the Jeep “Rangers Quest for the Cup” on 8:00 p.m. on both MSG and MSG+. The half-hour special will have the latest news surrounding the Rangers and the Canadiens and will feature interviews and in-depth analysis from the MSG broadcast team – Al Trautwig, Steve Valiquette and Ron Duguay.
A special playoff version of the Geico “MSG Hockey Show” follows at 8:30 pm on both MSG and MSG+. A fun, fast-paced half-hour of opinion and conversation about hockey and New York, the “MSG Hockey Show” features a dynamic group consisting of Will Reeve, former NHL star Anson Carter, and Arda Ocal.
